Death, new life, and parish life.

I realise it has been a wee while since I updated the blog. I remain amazed at many other Episcopal and Anglican bloggers who do this regularly.  St. Andrew's has kept me busy with normal parish life.  Barry Drake, a long time parishoner- whom I visited in the hospital for the first time on March 31st, died on Monday. He faced death with dignity and faith. I am thankful that I got a chance to know him before the cancer claimed his life.

In the midst of death, I am reminded of new life.. I have had my first experience with a new born and the parish.

I can only say that this newborn was quasi-mimicked by coming home to the loft and seeing that our little lake is now home to 2 adult and 5 baby Canadian geese.

Finally, my sermon offerings for the past few weeks-

Easter - V.mp3
Ascension.mp3
Easter - VII.mp3

I will, hopefully, have more time to write something more substantial next week.
